Introduction

Welcome to TEAMS FC ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, website and related services (collectively, the "Service") — a soccer team management platform for players, parents, coaches and organizations.

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Account information

  • Profile: First name, last name, email, password, role (player, parent, coach or organization admin) and profile picture.
  • Contact: Email addresses used to send notifications and respond to support requests.
  • Household links: For parents, the connection between your account and the player(s) you manage.

Team and organization data

  • Rosters: Team membership, position, jersey number and other roster fields entered by the coach.
  • Schedule: Games, practices, meetings and your RSVPs/availability.
  • Chat: Messages exchanged in team, group and 1:1 conversations within the Service.
  • Training assignments: The training sessions a coach assigns to you and whether you've marked them complete. No video or media uploads are required to complete a training assignment.
  • Evaluations: Written evaluations a coach records about a player, shared with that player and their parent.
  • Match stats: Statistics logged per match (such as goals, assists, minutes and saves) and aggregated to per-player history.

Usage and device data

  • App usage: Features used, session duration and interaction patterns, used to improve the product.
  • Device: Device type, operating system and app version.
  • Push tokens: Device tokens used to deliver notifications.

Payment information

  • Team subscription: Team Premium subscription state for the team(s) you own or coach.
  • Billing: Subscription status and billing history. Card data itself is collected and stored by our payment processor (Stripe) — never by TEAMS FC.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain the Service (schedule, chat, training, evaluations, match stats).
  • Enable communication between players, parents, coaches and organization admins.
  • Process Team Premium subscriptions and manage billing through Stripe.
  • Send transactional notifications (event reminders, new messages, evaluations posted).
  • Improve the product, debug issues and prevent abuse.

Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the Service:

  • Supabase — database, storage and authentication.
  • Stripe — payment processing for Team Premium.
  • Expo / Apple Push Notification service — push notification delivery.
  • Your team and organization — content you post inside the Service (chat messages, RSVPs, training-completion checkmarks, evaluations a coach writes about you, match stats) is shared with the people you'd expect: teammates, coaches, parents on the roster, and any organization admins overseeing your team.
  • Legal requirements — when required to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or respond to lawful requests.

Data Security

We protect your data with industry-standard safeguards:

  • Encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Authenticated access controls at the row-level on our database.
  • Payment data handled exclusively by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems.
  • Regular security review of dependencies and infrastructure.

Children's Privacy

TEAMS FC is designed for use by youth soccer teams, including users under 13. For minor users we:

  • Require a parent or guardian account to be linked to the player's account.
  • Restrict who can message a minor directly — coaches, teammates on the roster and the player's linked parent.
  • Comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements.

Your Rights and Choices

  • View and edit your profile and household members at any time.
  • Control push-notification preferences per device.
  • Leave a team or remove a player from a team.
  • Delete your account and associated data through app settings or by emailing us.

Data Retention

We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information promptly, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We use providers (Supabase, Stripe, Expo) with appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy here, updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, sending an in-app or email notification.
